Our names are Sree and Holly, and we live in Springfield, MO with our cat, Blair. We were married in 2016 after an exclusively long-distance relationship and now enjoy traveling to places together, rather than meeting each other there.
So, this is supposed to be a travel blog. Holly and I love to travel and we are big fans of State Parks in particular. And since we live in Springfield, the birthplace of Route 66, we are also big fans of the mother road. This blog is aimed at documenting our travels, experiences with people and places, in the hope that our readers might benefit from our experiences. We intend to keep these posts brief and informative, with some tips and suggestions sprinkled on top. Just to give you a taste of what to expect, we will be documenting our travels across the state of Missouri to visit State Parks and State Historic Sites. We will also document our Route 66 trip all the way from Springfield, MO to Texas. We will keep adding posts as we travel more of the mother road. Since both of us work full time jobs, there will be gaps in our journals but we will try to point them out so you know what we missed. Thanks for reading and looking forward to starting our first series very soon! ...

It is also a short van, which means I can parallel park it in a space big enough to fit a full sized sedan. We were actually quite surprised to find that the van is shorter than any truck or large SUV. This makes it really convenient to take it anywhere. The van came with two captain's chairs in the middle row, and a sofa/bed in the back row. The sofa/bed was not nearly big enough for Holly and me to be able to sleep on (I am 6' and Holly is 5'10"), so we did away with that. However, we only rem...
